Wow, you've uploaded a few in the past few hours! Did you already draw them or are you just uploading old works? Whatever you're doing, the artistry is simply amazing. :)

Killing a ninja is a terrible thing to do. Ninjas are an important part of the eco-bio-deatho-sphere. It's very Lion King. If you kill all the wolves, you're gonna have a crapload of bunnies. By bunnies, I mean stupid people.

Thanks. I'm trying to color correct the pieces as I go, so they are being uploaded in groups, or as I get to them. They are a mix of old and new.

Is that a split pomegranate atop her key?

I remembered Bromios had an association with Dionysus so I did some quick research. I chuckled when I learned that one of his names was "he of the loud shout"...

thought I would share.

Curious about who this Tanake Trang is?
:iconkourete:
Hey GermanCityGirl,

Thanks for the many kind comments. It is a pomegranate on the key. Bacchus the roarer. According to some accounts of the Mystery religion at Eleusis, there was a point in the proceedings where the shout goes up "Bromo has given birth to Bromios! The might has given birth to the mighty!" and refers to the story that Persephone is the mother of Dionysos by Zeus.

The pillars, the pomegranate, the keyand the scroll are all common with the Popess painting, yet this is another drawing of yours, but that one did not have the wino guy (Bromios/Dionisos). And the cross in the middle... It could mean a hundred things... Are your pieces of art a kind of beacon you send out to the world for other mythology scholars to notice and respond to? They are bugging the hell out of me, also I think it's really cool that they are so loaded with meaning and so good technically. Usually it's either meaning or technique, it's very rare to see both. Congrats.
